Earlier this week, I had an opportunity to photograph a mother and son Pastoral team in Downington, Pennsylvania in a headshot portrait session. They were both beautiful people with beautiful personalities, which makes my job easy! As they intended to use the photographs as graphics on flyers, invitations, and other print media, I brought in a large green background that I could knockout with a photo editing program, and then set the majority of the images on a white background. Now towards the end of the session, I found out that their church was connected to a church I had visited in Delaware a few times before. It is truly amazing how small our world really is… and how interconnected we are, but just don’t know it yet! I have included some of the images from this session below.

Imposed Portraits (Alter Ego) Session
Enjoying to be on both sides of the camera, I have long felt that some aspects of photography have a great deal to do with acting or imitating something previously observed. With the emergence of Alter Ego photography, the element of acting is truly embedded into the images along with a plot, makeup, and post-production editing. I recently had an Imposed Portrait/Alter Ego Photography session in Delaware, and I am sharing a few of the images below.
For these types of sessions, it helps to start with a good theme and at least 2 good portraits (from the photographer). In the first portrait, my subject was an urban girl…
For the second pose, my subject transformed into a Haut couture (French for high fashion) model…
I was thankful for simplicity of the background and good planning because this merge was not as difficult to pull off and make it look realistic.
For another one of the ladies at the photo session, she wanted to be a tom boy and then a girly girl…
Ministering, Up Close and Personal
From Ministers to Authors to Artists and Actors and Corporate Executives, people need headshots for bios and portfolios. I recently had the opportunity to photograph headshots for two ministers of the Gospel, and I took both professional and some casual shots. Here are some of my favorites from the session.
Campus Harvest – Raleigh-Durham, NC
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to travel with students from Howard, Georgetown, and NOVA, as well as members of Grace Covenant Church to a conference for college students – Campus Harvest. Among other things it was a great opportunity to meet more people and test out my new camera… this also serves as a disclaimer that I was not using the camera that I am well versed in… yet and still I was able to get some good shots.

I absolutely LOVE the passion!
There were so many of these shirts floating around this past weekend…
This is a photo of hands lifted in worship…
Finally, there was a baptismal ceremony at the pool in the Fairfield Inn.

She’s Having a Baby
Capturing art and beauty in life-to-be
I recently had a Maternity Photography Session, which was truly exciting. My approach to photographing expectant mothers and their husbands is to capture artistically tasteful images, focusing on the unborn baby and the preparation for the life to come. I typically travel to a couple’s home and bring studio backgrounds, and then photograph the couple in several outfits and in the nursery. View images from my latest maternity session below.
