I spent this past Mother’s Day with my Mom and family. By now, they are used to seeing me with my camera, so they allow me just to capture the moments that follow in each of our gatherings. See some of my favorites from a Mother’s Day dinner and lunch below.

Let Me See Your Hats and Heels
I can remember back to my Senior year of High School when I was on the prom committee. I don’t remember when we started planning for the prom, but I think that the location was selected the year before. Anyway, there were so many meetings that we had to plan out every single detail. And though for many of us, we only attend the prom once, there are other events that involve just as much planning and preparation… So for these events, it is good to have a professional photographer so that you can look back after all of that long, hard work and see how well everything came together (chances are, you’ll be too busy to notice on the day of the event).
Below are images from a recent annual Mother’s Day Luncheon, called Hats and Heels put on by the Sisters in the Spirit Foundation in Pennsylvania.
Campus Harvest – Raleigh-Durham, NC
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to travel with students from Howard, Georgetown, and NOVA, as well as members of Grace Covenant Church to a conference for college students – Campus Harvest. Among other things it was a great opportunity to meet more people and test out my new camera… this also serves as a disclaimer that I was not using the camera that I am well versed in… yet and still I was able to get some good shots.

I absolutely LOVE the passion!
There were so many of these shirts floating around this past weekend…
This is a photo of hands lifted in worship…
Finally, there was a baptismal ceremony at the pool in the Fairfield Inn.

“We Must Be in Love”
I recently photographed a wedding in Wilmington, DE just after the snow storms. Even still, this was a wonderful opportunity to capture love, emotions, and all of the moments in between!
Besides the the traditional moments, one of the highlights was when the mom of the young lady that caught the bouquet tried to object to her daughter getting “fitted” with the garter… Mom was kindly escorted off of the dance floor, but she watched from the sidelines… and her face told the story of what she really felt about the entire situation. You can see these images and more in the slideshow, but if you want a quick view of other parts of the wedding, scroll through the images posted below.

It’s Snowing Outside…
Over the past several weeks, we have had more snow in the Mid-Atlantic region than we’ve had the entire time that I have been in the area. Well besides providing an excuse for folks to stay home for work, the snow also created an opportunity to get some exercise… and catch some great shots. You can view the slideshow below to see some of the more memorable photographs I took.
