The Town Criers

This is one of my favorite images thus far from the Pettiford wedding (I still have not seen every image though – that’s what I am working on now)… Anyway, before last May, I don’t think I had heard of this role of the “Town Crier” at a wedding (not sure if it’s an East Coast thing), but I have now seen it 3 or 4 times, and this was by far the cutest way I’d seen it done. As the girls skipped down the aisle proclaiming, “The bride’s coming! The Bride’s coming!” their outfits became part of that cry and excitement. In my granddad’s words, “Beautiful.”

Seeing Some of My Faves in My Hometown!

Going home for me is always a joy, especially now that my cousin has 4 kids now.  Yep, 4 beautiful, spirited, lively, respectful, joyous children.  One even bears my same name, which probably adds to my fondness of her… But for real, how often do you run across another Victoria Payne?  Before her, I just had not done it :).  And for the record, I love all 4 children equally!!!!!  They each have their own talents and personalities and can melt your heart with their smiles!!!!  Well, this summer, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Texas twice, and the photos below are from my first visit, when they were still expecting the newest addition (Baby Liana).  As time permits, I will go through the 2nd trip photos and post… but I had so much fun with everyone during this first visit.  I always get sad when it’s time to go back as I reflect on the many moments I will miss as they grow up…. Well, who knows where time and the Lord will bring me?  For now, I am thankful for the moments that I have had to see them grow, mature, learn, laugh, and love!!!!

Disclaimer: The Hat Ladies collage was mostly taken with my iPhone, so in no ways is that high quality, but I wanted to share the moment!  Also the majority of the images were taken with my “just-for-fun-not-the-real-deal” camera… Again, I just wanted to capture these moments with my family!
